Table look and fonts

Grid, borders, zebra; three-level soft/embedded fonts and alignment.

Select the table, then open Look and Font. Overview: Table.

Look

  • Columns / rows: logical grid. With a header, row 1 is the title row.
  • Line thickness, style, border color: set the default line, then use the border icons for sides, inner, and outer. Shared edges stay in sync; the thicker line wins on conflict.
  • Fill swatch: background for the selected cell. Cell fill beats zebra.
  • Equal column width / equal row height: align the selection.
  • Zebra fill: alternating content-row colors; header is excluded.
  • Merge: merge adjacent cells; slave cells are not drawn and their hit areas are not exported.

When you scale the outer frame, header, body rows, and the pager strip grow together — do not only stretch width.

Fonts

Tables do not use vector overlay text. Use soft text or embedded font only.

Three-level inheritance

ScopeWhen you change it
Whole table“Apply to” = table (the default)
Column“Apply to” = column (overrides the table)
Current cell“Apply to” = selected cells

Priority: cell > column > table. Toolbar “Clear current cell format” drops cell overrides so column and table settings show through.

Columns can have different prefixes/suffixes, for example a KW suffix on one column.

Common settings

  • Alignment: eight-way icons for horizontal/vertical. If the text is wider than the cell, it clips to the left so it does not spill into the next cell.
  • Font kind: soft or embedded. Switching to soft defaults to full-width; change half-width under font style.
  • Leading-zero as space: same habit as slider-linked numbers.
  • Fixed prefix / suffix.
  • Size, Wx / Hx scale, foreground, background (can be transparent), letter spacing.

Alignment on the canvas should match the panel. Mixed CJK, digits, and %RH center using real glyph widths, not “one CJK = two half-width cells.”

Sizes and styles: Soft text, Embedded font. Unregistered builds do not restrict these two font kinds.
