Soft text (packed bitmap fonts)

Place Chinese and other scripts with a packed bitmap font.

Toolbar Soft text. The project must already have a usable packed font (next to the exe or under the project font/ folder).

In properties, set size (16 / 24 / 32 px), style, full/half width, color, and letter spacing. You can bind string_table or a variable so the text updates on page change and refresh associations. You can also allow keypad input; see Numeric keypad.

Export uses Show_UTF16. When a whole table uses soft text, cell alignment uses the real glyph widths — do not estimate “one CJK character = two half-width cells.” See Table look and fonts.
